The cops who chase Bob during Operation Latte Thunder probably have Glocks, but again, not sure. I'll go over the scenes frame by frame some time in the future to look for more details.

He only gets the name 'Jack' from the papers and documents left over from the previous owner of the Paper Street home (seen in the scene where he quotes from one of the booklets, saying 'I am Julia's nipple' as well as 'I am Jack's Medulla oblongata' etc while Tyler plays around on a bike.) The filmmakers asked Chuck Palahniuk to give a name to the protagonist for the sake of the script, and so he gave him the name of 'Narrator'. The gun seen at the beginning and at the end of the film, the one Jack takes from the cop, seems to be some sort of Smith and Wesson automatic, but I'm not sure. The cops who chase Bob during Operation Latte Thunder probably have Glocks, but again, not sure. I'll go over the scenes frame by frame some time in the future to look for more details.
