The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is a 2011 mystery thriller. Journalist Mikael Blomkvist (Daniel Craig) is hired to investigate the disappearance of a girl who went missing over 40 years ago. In his investigation he is aided by the gifted but socially incompetent computer hacker Lisbeth Salander (Rooney Mara). The film is a remake of the Swedish film of the same name. Both of these films are based on the novel The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson.
