It is used on armored vehicles, aircraft, helicopters and naval vessels and has been exported to many different countries. The M693 features a dual feed system allowing the ammunition type to be changed depending on the target being engaged. A navalized variant known as the F2 is used on ships and is also chin mounted on helicopters.
