The General's Daughter is the 1999 feature film adaptation of the novel of the same name by Nelson DeMille. The film stars John Travolta as an officer with the US Army's Criminal Investigation Division who is assigned to a case involving the murder of the daughter of a renowned US Army General and whose body was found on an Army installation. The film was directed by Simon West, and the cast includes Madeleine Stowe, Timothy Hutton, James Woods, and James Cromwell.
The following weapons were used in the film The General's Daughter:
Chief Warrant Officer Four Paul Brenner (John Travolta) uses a Beretta 92FS when working undercover as Sgt. Frank White. Other Army personnel also carry the Beretta (in lieu of the Army issue Beretta M9) including Colonel William Kent (Timothy Hutton).
While working officially for Army CID, CW3 Paul Brenner (John Travolta) and his partner CW2 Sara Sunhill (Madeleine Stowe) carry the SIG-Sauer P228 as their sidearm throughout the film.
Belling (Peter Weireter) trys to kill Brenner with a suppressed Mini Uzi. Weireter is an
experienced L.A.P.D. S.W.A.T. officer. There is a strong possibility that he closed his eyes to protect himself from the pyrotechnic charges.
