Fear Is the Key is a 1972 crime thriller directed by Michael Tuchner and based on the novel by Alistair MacLean.
The following weapons were used in the film Fear Is the Key:
Revolvers
Colt Police Positive or Colt Official Police
In the scene in the court John Talbot (Barry Newman) disarms a deputy and takes his revolver. It looks like a Colt Police Positive or a Colt Official Police.
Smith & Wesson Model 40
Larry (Peter Marinker) carries a hammerless snub nose revolver, supposedly a Smith & Wesson Model 40.
Colt Detective Special
In the scene on the oil rig Larry's (Peter Marinker) revolver switches to another one, supposedly a Colt Detective Special.
Unidentified Colt revolver
A revolver with typical Colt grip is carried by one of Vyland's henchmen. Only the grip is seen so it's hard to identify the revolver though it can be the same Colt Police Positive or a Colt Official Police that was used by Talbot in the beginning of the movie.
Pistols
Pocket pistols
Royale's (Ben Kingsley) personal weapon is a pocket pistol.
In the scene in a bar the bartender (Ernie Heldman) tries to get his pistol but John Talbot (Barry Newman) disarms him. The pistol is seen very briefly and is hard to be identified but it differs from Royale's pistol.
M1911
Herman Jablonsky's (Dolph Sweet) personal weapon is an M1911 pistol. An M1911 or M1911A1 is seen in hands of one of FBI agents in the final scene.
Walther P38
In the final scene one of the FBI agents carries a Walther P38 (truly unusual weapon for a G-Man!).
