'The Devil's Brigade' is a 1968 World War II film that stars Oscar winners William Holden and Cliff Robertson. The film is based on the true story of the First Special Service Force led by Lt. Col. Robert T. Frederick (Holden), who takes on the daunting task of melding a renegade group of American and Canadian recruits into a crack team of commandos.

Smith & Wesson Model 20 Revolver
Captain Cardwell (Tom Stern) carries a Smith & Wesson Model 20 revolver with custom grips that he uses when he notices a rattlesnake in the barracks.
Mauser K98K Rifle
German forces are seen using the Mauser K98K Rifle. Private Hubert Hixon (Luke Askew) grabs a Mauser K98K Rifle from a German soldier during one of the missions.
MP40 SMG
The MP40 is used by German forces as well as Sgt. Pat O'Neill (Jeremy Slate) and Major Crown.
Browning M2 Heavy Barrel
The Browning M2 is seen mounted on the M47 Walker Bulldog tank mocked up as a German tank.
Colt 1903 Hammerless Pistol
Browning Automatic Rifle
The Browning Automatic Rifle is primarily carried by Private Hubert Hixon (Luke Askew) during the mountain assault. Private Ransom (Andrew Prine) later uses it.
M1 Garand
Many members of the Brigade carry the M1 Garand during the final mountain assault including Private Theodore Ransom (Andrew Prine).
M1911A1 Pistol
The M1911A1 is used by several members of the Devil's Brigade including Maj. Alan Crown (Cliff Robertson), Pvt. Omar Greco (Richard Jaeckel) and Corporal Wilfrid Peacock (Jack Watson).
Walther P38 Pistol
The Walther P38 is fired by several German officers and soldiers in the film.
M1928A1 Thompson
The M1928A1 Thompson is used by the majority of the Brigade during their first mission. It's notably carried by Colonel Robert T. Frederick (William Holden), Maj. Alan Crown (Cliff Robertson), Corporal Wilfrid Peacock (Jack Watson) and Pvt. Hugh MacDonald (Richard Dawson).
MG42 Machine Gun
German forces are seen using the MG42 machine gun during the mountain assault.

The anachronistic M20A1 "Super Bazooka" is used by the Brigade during the mountain assault.
