Guyver: Dark Hero (1994)
Guyver: Dark Hero (Also known as The Guyver 2) is the 1994 sequel to the 1991 live-action adaptation of the 1985 manga series Bio-Booster Armor Guyver. Dark Hero replaced the previous film's lead actor Jack Armstrong with David Hayter (famous for voicing Snake in the Metal Gear Solid video game series) and took a darker, more serious, and much more violent approach than its predicessor and stayed closer to the source material. The film recieved average reviews, largely for its darker tone and special effects.

Doug Kerlew (J.D. Smith) is seen armed with a Winchester Model 1912 while hunting for the "werewolf" that killed his brother. The shotgun has a short barrel and what appears to be a blank-fire device mounted to the muzzle.
When he hears word of a "bear attack" in the woods near the dig site, Commander Atkins (Christopher Michael) retrieves a Remington Model 700 from a crate.
