White House Down: Difference between revisions

White House Down is a 2013 action film directed by Roland Emmerich (2012, Independence Day). Channing Tatum stars as John Cale, a Capitol Police Officer and failed Secret Service applicant who must rescue President James Sawyer (Jamie Foxx) after the White House is taken over by heavily armed mercenaries. The film was released in the U.S. on June 28, 2013.
The following weapons were used in the film White House Down:
Special Agent Martin Walker (James Woods) uses a Beretta 92FS as his main weapon throughout the film.
Springfield Armory XD
Cale uses Springfield Armory XD taken from one of the mercenaries for much of the movie, later giving it to President James Sawyer (Jamie Foxx) to protect himself.
SIG-Sauer P229 E2
Secret Service agents are armed with SIG-Sauer P229 E2 pistols. Emil Stenz (Jason Clarke) uses a suppressed P229 while seizing control of the White House.
The Brügger & Thomet APC9 is carried by several of the mercenaries who seize the White House. The submachine gun seen is fitted with a tan upper receiver, an EOTech sight, tactical light and suppressor. Cale uses one after seizing it from a mercenary early in the film. Several mercenaries including Stenz and Killick (Kevin Rankin) also use the APC9.
Cale uses a Heckler & Koch MP5A3 with a RIS handguard and foregrip while rescuing the President from the mercenaries. Stenz's right hand man Motts (Falk Hentschel) uses a similar MP5A3 throughout the film.
Cale gives Donnie the tour guide (Nicholas Wright) a Mossberg 590 Cruiser with a door breaching brake while rescuing the hostages.
Rifles
M16A4
U.S. Army soldiers that surround the White House are armed with M16A4 rifles. U.S. Marines at the White House are also seen holding M16A4s.
M4A1
Some of the mercenaries are armed with M4A1 rifles with EOTech sights. Agents from the Secret Service Emergency Response Team are also armed with M4A1s, as are U.S. Army soldiers and U.S. Marines.
SIG SG 552
One of the mercenaries searching for Cale and the President in the White House's living quarters is armed with a SIG SG 552 carbine. Cale takes the SG 552 and uses it while eluding Stenz.
Sniper Rifles
DPMS NATO REPR
A mercenary uses a DPMS NATO REPR sniper rifle with a suppressor.
Machine Guns
GE M134 Minigun
The mercenaries use a Minigun mounted in a Secret Service Chevrolet Suburban during a chase on the White House lawn. John Cale is also seen using a Minigun later in the film.
Browning M2
The mercenaries also use a Browning M2 machine gun attached to a Leupold mount with several sights, including a Leupold HAMR scope.
FN M240D
Blackhawk helicopters appear to have FN M240D machine guns mounted as door guns.
Other
FGM-148 Javelin
The mercenaries use a FGM-148 Javelin to fend off attacking helicopters.
RPG-7
A mercenary fires a RPG-7 during a chase between the mercenaries and Cale as he and the President attempt to flee using the Presidential Limousine.
Airtronic RPG-7
President James Sawyer (Jamie Foxx) uses an Airtronic RPG-7 in the film. It can be recognized by the addition of the M4-style stock and RIS rails. Two separate rocket types can be seen being used with this weapon; the PG-7VM and the larger PG-7VL.
