Those who don't believe me about whom the ingame characters resemble can compare these screenshots with each of the actor's mugshots.
Why are only some weapons depicted in the game's inventory view?
As the screenshots will show, the inventory view has a completely black background, which means that darker parts of the ingame firearms blend in pretty well with the background.
