Millennium was the second television series to be created by Chris Carter (of The X-Files fame). It starred Lance Henriksen as a former FBI profiler who goes to work for a shadowy "consultant" organization called the Millennium group. It is also notable for starring Terry O'Quinn (later of Lost fame), who also would work with Chris Carter again on Harsh Realm.
The firearms seen in this TV series include the following:
Colt M1911A1
Frank Black (Lance Henriksen)'s sidearm on the show was a Colt M1911A1 in .45 ACP. However, while Black was seen in several episodes firing his 1911 at the range, he rarely carried or used it while on assignment. In one episode, when his supervisor asks him if he wants to hunt, Black replies that he only practices with his sidearm because he is required to.
SIG-Sauer P226
Agent Emma Hollis (Klea Scott ) carried a SIG-Sauer P226 as her sidearm when she was introduced in the third season. Interestingly, Hollis seems to have been the only agent on the show to carry a SIG, even though the P226 and P228 were standard-issue to the FBI at the time.
Taurus PT99
A large number of Taurus PT99 pistols were seen on the show, mostly in the hands of police officers (as a Beretta 92F stand-in). They were also used by some of the FBI Agents on the show, which is inaccurate, since the FBI has never issued Taurus pistols.
Glock 17
Glock 17s were also carried by many police officers on the show.
Mossberg 500
Mossberg 500 shotguns were used by many police officers on the show.
Remington 870
Police officers on the show also used Remington 870 shotguns (with regular and extended magazine tubes).
Smith & Wesson 5906
Newer-model Smith & Wesson 5906 pistols appeared in several episodes. In Episode 3.03, "TEOTWAWKI", a 5906 was used by Brant Carmody (Jeremy Guilbaut) to shoot up his high school and kill his principal and several class mates. An FBI agent working on the case later described the weapon as a "9mm Smith & Wesson pistol with a 15-round magazine."
IMI Desert Eagle Mark VII
In Episode 3.04, "Closure", a psychopath named Rick Van Horn (Garret Dillahunt) prominently used a nickel-plated .44 Magnum Desert Eagle Mark VII as his sidearm. The Desert Eagle was given many very good close-ups in the episode, in which it was possible to read "Magnum Research" on the slide, suggesting that this was a deliberate advertising plug for the manufacturer.
Česká Zbrojovka CZ 45 - 6.35mm (.25 ACP)
A small 6.35mm caliber pocket pistol was taken by one the escaped convicts from a guard in Episode 2.18, "In Arcadia Ego".
Diemaco C7/Colt Model 715
Typical of many movies and TV shows filmed in Canada, most of the M16-type rifles in the show were Diemaco C7s or the Colt Model 715 equivalent. In Episode 3.03, "TEOTWAWKI", the survivalist group had purchased four of these rifles (Agent Hollis referred to them simply as "M16s"). Later, when Gary King (Eric Keenleyside) dropped the rifle after surrendering, it was possible to see that it had the distinctive pistol grips of Olympic Arms AR-15s.
M16 (SP1)
In Episode 2.18, "In Arcadia Ego", the police snipers were armed with M16 rifles fitted with M16A2 hand guards and M16A1 flash hiders, as well as 20-round magazines. They were configured as sniper rifles, with scopes and bipods..
XM177 mock-ups
A number of XM177-type assault rifles were seen on the show, but all were mocked-up from other AR-15 carbine variants and fitted with fake XM177-style compensators. These guns were most notably used by Rick Van Horn (Garret Dillahunt) and his associate when they attacked the police station in Episode 3.04, "Closure", which led to a major Heat-style shootout.
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
Heckler & Koch MP5A3s fitted with Surefire fore-ends and tactical flashlights were used by FBI HRT/SWAT teams on the show.
Unknown sniper rifle
In Episode 3.04, "Closure", Rick Van Horn (Garret Dillahunt) also used an unknown sniper rifle while at the park. He asks his friend what a day in the park would be like if people knew that they were being covered by a "Thirty-Ought-Six", before pulling the trigger and dry-firing the weapon at an unsuspecting mother. Later, this gun was used by police snipers in the same episode. Judging by the bolt release, and safety it appears to be a heavily modified Mauser of some type.
USAS-12
A USAS-12 combat shotgun with a 20-round drum magazine was used by a Millennium group assassin in Episode 3.02, "Exegesis" to kill one of the clone women, though it was not seen very clearly.
Ruger KP89
A survivalist in Episode 3.03, "TEOTWAWKI" was seen at the shooting range with a Ruger KP89.
Jericho 941 "Baby Eagle"
A Jericho 941 ("Baby Eagle") was carried by the Millennium group assassin Mabius (Bob Wilde) in several episodes. In Episode 3.18, "Bardo Thodol", he used the Jericho with a suppressor.
M14
In Episode 3.04, "Closure", an M14 rifle (or, more likely, a semi-automatic Springfield Armory M1A) was used by a police officer to shoot at Rick Van Horn (Garret Dillahunt) and his associate during the gun battle at the police station.
Norinco Type 84S
In Episode 1.02, "Gehenna", Mike Atkins (Robin Gammell) found several crates full of Norinco Type 84S assault rifles in the doomsday cult's arms warehouse.
Interestingly, the crate was marked "Republic of China" (instead of People's Republic of China), but it did have a triangle with a "66" inside, which is the correct marking for State Factory 66 (which manufactured AKs for the PLA in real life).
Smith & Wesson Model 36 revolver
A Smith & Wesson Model 36 revolver was used by Frank Black (Lance Henriksen) in Season 1.
AK-47
Seen in the hands of Yura Surova (Boris Krutonog) and Andrei Pietrovich Melnikov (Dmitri Boudrine) in the Season 1 episode "Maranatha" when both characters were guards at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant and were hunting for Yaponchik (Levani Outchaneichvili) on the night of the Chernobyl disaster in April 1986.
Heckler & Koch VP70
Seen in the hands of Yura Surova (Boris Lee Krutonog) as his personal sidearm in the Season 1 episode "Maranatha". Surova would use this handgun to shoot Yaponchik (Levani Outchaneichvili) in the head when Yaponchik was in the Russian bath house.
