The following weapons were used in the film World War Z (2013):
Handguns
Beretta 92FS
Beretta 92FS pistols, standing in for M9s, are used by the soldiers stationed at Camp Humphreys in South Korea, including Captain Speke (James Badge Dale). A U.S. Navy SEAL who escorts Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt) to the base is seen firing a suppressed Beretta 92FS at the zombies.
Glock 17
A Philadelphia police officer is seen with a 2nd Generation Glock 17 in a promo screenshot. A man who helps Gerry in a looted Newark grocery store is also seen wielding a Glock. Gerry and Dr. Fassbach (Elyes Gabel) use Glocks after landing at Camp Humphreys in South Korea. Segen (Daniella Ketesz) later uses a Glock at the WHO lab in Cardiff, which is given to her by one of the WHO doctors as a last resort.
Jerricho 941
Segenan uses her service Jericho 941 on the Belarus Airways plane to kill some zombies before running out of ammo.
Rifles
M16A2
Pennsylvania National Guardsmen, U.S. Marines and Israeli soldiers can be seen with the M16A2 rifle.
M4A1 Carbine
U.S. military personnel including U.S. Navy SEALs and U.S. Marines can be seen with M4A1 carbines throughout the film. The U.S. Army soldiers that Gerry meets at a base in South Korea are armed with suppressed M4A1s.
Custom CAR-15 variant
Gerry's IDF escort Segen and several other soldiers use AR-15 carbines with A2 upper receivers and 10" barrels XM177-style muzzle brakes. Similar composite carbines appeared in Blood Diamond and Black Hawk Down.
CTAR-21
One of Gerry's IDF escorts is armed with a Tavor CTAR-21 assault rifle.
AKS-47
Soldiers of the Palestinian Security Forces were armed with AKS-47 rifles.
Remington Model 700 BDL
Gerry uses a Remington Model 700 that he finds in a commandeered RV while fleeing from Philadelphia to Newark. He tapes a kitchen knife to the barrel as a makeshift bayonet.
Machine Guns
FN Minimi
A standard-length FN Minimi is used by helicopter-borne U.S. Navy SEALs fitted with 200-round cloth ammo bags. Presumably it stands in for a Mk 46 Mod 0.
FN Minmi Para
A FN Minimi Para can be seen being fired by an Israeli soldier with a 200 round cloth ammo bag, standing in for the IMI Negev.
M240D
The M240D machine guns are seen mounted on IDF helicopters.
M2HB
Browning M2HB heavy machine guns can be seen on Pennsylvania Army National Guardsmen HMMWVs in the trailer.
Hand Grenade
M26 Hand Grenade
IDF soldiers use M26 hand grenades while battling the zombies. Gerry also uses Segen's grenade on board the Belarus Airways plane when it becomes overrun by the infected.
Heavy Weapons
Mk 19 grenade launcher
A Mk 19 grenade launcher can be seen mounted on a HMMWV as a civilian RV runs a military road block. MK 19s can also be seen mounted on IDF HMMWVs.
GAU-8/A Avenger
American A-10 Thunderbolt II ground attack aircraft can be seen in the trailer. These carry internally-mounted General Electric GAU-8/A Avenger rotary cannons under the nose.
