It should be noted most guns in the game are anachronistic, seeing the game takes place 1864-1866. Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood is a prequel to the 2006/2007 game Call of Juarez, which was released for the PC and Xbox 360. A sequel entitled Call of Juarez: The Cartel was released July 19th 2011. A fourth game entitled Call of Juarez: Gunslinger was released May 22, 2013.
Upgrades:
Every gun, except dynamite, can be found in four different conditions: rusty, normal, prime and superb. The rusty weapons are surprisingly rusty, weak and have slow reloads. The prime weapons are silver with wooden grips and the superb ones are golden with pearl/ivory grips. Both are much better (concerning fire power and reload speed) than the normal and rusty guns.
The following weapons appear in the video game Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood:
Revolvers
Colt 1848 Dragoon
As the "Ranger," the Colt 1848 Dragoon is a large cartridge-converted revolver that has slow reloads and rate of fire, but packs serious punch. It should also be noted that in the first game the Ranger was based off the Colt Walker. The reason for this change was probably to make the gun more period accurate as the Colt Dragoon 1848 was more popular during the Civil War, moreover few Walkers were ever made, being replaced by the improved 1848 model.
Remington 1890 Revolver
The Remington 1890 revolver appears as the "Classic Gun". It has a medium reload speed, and is a good gun to use, although not as powerful as the Ranger or Volcano Gun. It is anachronistic as this revolver was not produced until 1890, and Bound in Blood takes place 1864-1866.
LeMat 1869
The LeMat 1869 appears as the "Hybrid Gun." It is relatively weak but holds 9 rounds and has a good fire rate. The Shotgun is fired as first shot. The gun also has a faster fire rate for the first two shots.
Smith and Wesson Model 3 Schofield
The Smith & Wesson Schofield appears as the "Quickshooter." It has low power but a high rate of fire and the quickest reload time, due to it's top break design. Ray McCall canonically wields a pair of Schofield's throughout the campaign. Another anachronistic gun. This gun is always dual-wielded akimbo-style by the A.I. partner regardless if the player has bought different guns for that character.
Colt 1878 Double-Action
The Colt 1878 Double-Action revolver appears on the box for Pistol Ammunition. Technically anachronistic since it wasn't produced for another 12 years.
Remington 1866 Derringer
As the "ladies gun" weak and short ranged, often taking 4-5 rounds to down an enemy even point blank. Appropriate for the setting, but not in wide usage.
Volcanic Repeater
As the "Volcano Gun" Juarez carries a pair, and the player can use them later in the game. Slow to reload, and fire rate is a little low, but hits like the "magnum" of the game, although the Volcanic Repeater was a rimfire target gun. Most likely the Volcano is modeled after the .41 caliber Volcanic Pistol. The gun is depicted as holding 12 rounds, while in real-life it could only hold 8.
Victor Collete Pepperbox
The Victor Collete Pepperbox appears as the "Peppergun," a slow shooting, slow reloading and not very powerful gun. Has a bayonet attached you cannot use.
Rifles
Winchester 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine
The Winchester Model 1892 is used ingame as the "Classic Rifle", this is seen used by Thomas on the cover. In prime condition, it has nickel finish. In superb condition, you see a brass finish, otherwise it is just blued. Seen as almost the standard issue of Union troops you fight and Confederate allies, anachronistic for the entire game.
Sharps 1874 Buffalo
A Sharps 1874 Buffalo appears as the "Heavy Rifle" it downs most enemies in one shot, and can be scoped as a sniper rifle. Slow reloads, but awesome range and power. Also anachronistic.
Springfield 1861 Musket
Civil War soldiers who you cannot interact with and fight in the backgrounds use civil war era muzzle loading rifles. There were many similar designs used by both the north and south, since this is late in the war, it is likely the in-game rifles are patterned after the very common Springfield rifle (.58 cal minie ball), the rest use Winchester '92s.
Shotguns
Remington-Whitmore 1875 Shotgun
Availible standard or sawn off, has exposed hammers. Dubbed the "Shotgun" it is also anachronistic. The sawn-off version is referred to as the "Sawed-Off Shotgun".
Machine Guns
Gatling gun
The Gatling guns can be mounted and are used rather heavily for a rare gun. Union and Confederate troops and several gangs use them, and in several levels you mount one on the wagon. In Chapter VII and Chapter XV, there are man-portable Gatling guns (and the first Gatling gun in Chapter 7) that Ray can carry, which is a little far-fetched. Most Gatling guns are depicted in the game with a drum magazine, and Gatlings that are able to be carried are depicted with a stick magazine.
Others
Dynamite
Can only used by Ray McCall, it is used by some enemies as a way to flush out the player into fire. Can be used as a "grenade".
Cannon
Used only in the first level to destroy incoming Union rafts and in the second level to destroy a Union steamboat.
