Cat Run is a 2011 action comedy about exclusive call girl Cat (Paz Vega) who unwillingly bears witness to a crime committed by a US senator. In order to save her life, she takes evidence from the scene which gets her chased by classy contract killer Helen (Janet McTeer).
Cat accepts the assistance of the unlikely private investigator team Julian and Anthony (Alphonso McAuley and Scott Mechlowicz) and together they try to stay alive from Helen and other killers send after them by shady intelligence officer Carver (Karel Roden).
The following weapons were used in the film Cat Run:
Pistols
Walther P99
Helen carries a Walther P99 in her handbag and uses it on several occasions. Anthony is also seen using a Walther P99 during the final shootout at the cocktail party.
Glock 19
During the final shootout, security guards can be seen with a compact Glock pistol. The calibre cannot be identified, but as this movie was shot in Europe, it’s most probably a Glock 19 in the popular 9mm.
FEG P9R
Helen takes a FEG P9R off a security guard during the shootout at the cocktail party. It can be identified by the Hi-Power style slide and the typical edged trigger guard.
CZ 83
In one scene, a very young hitman shoots a police officer in a car with a CZ 83, the gun is recognizable by the somewhat round barrel and the compact size.
Beretta 92FS
If it’s not enough, next to above Walther P99 and another gun described below, Helen also keeps a black Beretta 92FS in her handbag. It cannot be 100% identified, but because shells are seen ejected, this gun is assumed to be a blank-firing Beretta 92FS.
Bruni 92
Scottish contract killer Sean Moody (Tony Curran) carries what is most probably a Bruni 92 when he confronts Cat in her hotel room. Julian is later seen taking the gun from him.
SIG-Sauer P225
Carver, a shady intelligence officer trying to cover up the senator’s crime, carries a SIG-Sauer P225 as his side arm and uses it in several scenes throughout the movie.
EKOL Tuna
In addition to the above mentioned Walther P99 and Beretta 92FS, Helen also keeps an EKOL Tuna in her handbag. True to her profession, the gun is equipped with a silencer.
Unidentified Pistol
When Helen checks up on Cat’s pimp to get info as to Cat’s whereabouts, his bodyguard pulls an unidentified gun on Helen. The gun has an external hammer and a typically shaped trigger guard that comes away somewhat from the grip.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5A2
A border guard is seen with an original style Heckler & Koch MP5A2, complete with original "slimline" hand guard and straight "waffle"-style magazine.
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
Several border guards as well as security staff carry Heckler & Koch MP5A3’s with original "slimline" forearm.
Heckler & Koch MP5KN
The lead security guard is carrying a Heckler & Koch MP5KN with a 15-round magazine during the final scene.
Assault Rifle
SIG SG 550
Helen uses a scoped and silenced SIG SG 550 to take out somebody across the street from her hotel room. She takes several test shots at flower pots in a window still next to the future victim’s room.
Miscellaneous
Over and Under Shotgun
While aboard the yacht of her employer Carver, Helen spends some time clay pigeon shooting with him. They use over and under shotguns of which the manufacturer/model cannot be identified.
Ammunition
When Helen is preparing for an assassination with her silenced SIG SG 550 (see above), we get a good close-up of the ammunition box. Even though the box appropriately mentions ‘subsonic’, it’s probably some kind of joke because (a) the calibre is incorrect and (b) there are several spelling errors and (c) the manufacturer is mentioned as ‘Manufacturer’…
Helen’s Suitcase
Helen carries two identical suitcases; one for the regular travelling necessities and another for her professional tools (see below); a tea making set, assorted knives/grenades and finally a taken-down SIG SG 550.
