The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is a 2013 sci-fi/action film and sequel to the 2012 film The Hunger Games starring Jenifer Laurence as Katniss Everdeen, in which she takes part in a the Hunger Games, an annual gladiatorial fight to the death. Catching Fire sees her return to the Games as the evil President Snow (Donald Sutherland) orders the 75th Hunger Game be a twisted reunion special between former victors.
