Several LAPD officers and detectives carry the Beretta 92FS as their sidearm, including Officer Sammy Bryant (Shawn Hatosy), Officer Bill "Dewey" Dudek (C. Thomas Howell), Sergeant Hill (Jamie McShane), Sergeant Waters (Lesley Fera), and Officer Lucero (Anthony Ruivivar). In "Babel" (S5E03), Bryant uses his Beretta to trade fire with an active shooter and later bring the shooter down aside fellow officers. Lucero uses his Beretta in a felony stop (inspired by an episode of COPS), with the hammer cocked back in single-action, which most officers refrain from using unless they are already engaged with their weapon in a gunfight.
