How do you distinguish a Police Positive from an Official Police? --[[User:Funkychinaman|Funkychinaman]] ([[User talk:Funkychinaman|talk]]) 13:59, 13 February 2013 (EST)

Revision as of 18:59, 13 February 2013

For some reason the wikipedia article on this weapon only lists it as comming chambered in .32S&W, .38S&W, .32 Long Colt, and .38 Long Colt, not .38 special. Is Wikipedia wrong or are the weapons pictured on the main page rechambered for .38 special?

The .38 Special version of the Police Positive was the Police Positive Special, which had a slightly longer frame and cylinder - it was also available in .32-20. Colt differentiates between the two, IMFDB hasn't - too hard to tell the difference. -Nyles
