Resident Evil: Retribution is the fifth installment in the Resident Evil film franchise. Milla Jovovich returns as Alice in the 2012 3D sequel and several characters from the previous films also make return appearances. In addition, several characters from the videogames not previously introduced make their film debuts here including Leon S. Kennedy (Johann Urb), Barry Burton (Kevin Durand), and Ada Wong (Li Bingbing).
The following weapons were used in the film Resident Evil: Retribution:
Alice (Milla Jovovich) is seen dual-wielding SIG-Sauer P226R pistols when engaging Umbrella soldiers at the beginning of the film, which takes place in the immediate aftermath of Resident Evil: Afterlife. This may be a continuity error, as she was not seen using these pistols in the previous film. Rain (Michelle Rodriguez) uses a P226R to threaten Ada.
Ada Wong (Li Bingbing) carries a Glock 17 with a rail-mounted weaponlight as her weapon of choice in the film. During a fight, Alice also is seen holding the pistol.
A two-tone Heckler & Koch USP is the sidearm carried by Luther West (Boris Kodjoe). He appears to be carrying two pistols, but is also seen drawing both of them once.
The .44 Magnum Smith & Wesson Model 629 Performance Center is seen carried by Barry Burton (Kevin Durand). Holstered on his vest, the revolver appears to be mocked up to resemble its video game counterpart (which was a .44 Magnum Colt Anaconda). Barry is first seen using it during the car chase through the Moscow simulation.

Jill Valentine (Sienna Guillory) uses a pair of Yugoslavian made Model 61(i) Skorpion submachine guns as her weapons of choice in the film. The pair is seen first being fired while Jill falls from an Umbrella attack ship at the film's opening. This appears to be a continuity error, as the coda scene to Resident Evil: Afterlife, appeared to show her carrying MP9's.
What appears to be an Colt M4A1 fitted with an M203 Grenade Launcher is seen carried by Rain Ocampo (Michelle Rodriguez). US Marines guarding the White House also appear to carry M4A1's fitted with EOTech sights.
An ACE 21 is seen in the hands of both James "One" Shade (Colin Salmon) as well as Barry Burton (Kevin Durand). A few Umbrella troops use this weapon during the raid on the Arcadia
A two-tone Heckler & Koch G36C is the weapon carried by Luther West (Boris Kodjoe). The G36C is fitted with a foregrip and the receiver is in the two-tone scheme.
Dual Browning M2 machine guns are seen used by zombified Russian soldiers during the Moscow simulation. Browning M2s also are seen in machine gun nests atop the White House.
