Jormungand (named for the serpent in Norse mythology that grew so big that it wrapped around the world) is a twelve episode anime series based on the manga series of the same name by Keitarō Takahashi. It follows the exploits of Jonathan "Jonah" Mar, a child soldier recruited by Koko Hekmatyar to work for the black market side of HCLI, an international shipping corporation that secretly deals weapons all over the globe. The television adaptation began airing on April 10, 2012; a second season, Perfect Order began airing on October 10, 2012. Both seasons has been licensed by Funimation for a North American release.
The following firearms were seen in the anime television series Jormungand :
Before introducing him to the rest of her crew, Koko hands Jonah a Browning Hi-Power Mark III in "Gun Metal, Calico Road", which he continues to use as his primary sidearm.
One of the Major Pollack's soldiers uses a Pistolet ViS wz. 35 as his sidearm. This is justified since a lot of these pistols were produced in the 1930s when World War II took place and 9mm bullets are more common in small arms usage than the .45 ACP.
Koko gives Jonah a Colt XSE as a decoy weapon before their confrontation with C.K. Kloshkin in "Gun Metal, Calico Road". Mildo and Lu also use XSEs as their sidearms in "Pulsar".
Karen Lo uses dual SIG-Sauer GSRs as her main sidearm, first seen in "African Golden Butterflies, Part 1". Karen's GSRs can have combat knife modules attached underneath the barrel via picatinny railing. It's used to execute one of her Taishinhai mercenary subordinates for failing to follow her orders. She later uses them to fight Valmet in close quarters in "African Golden Butterflies, Part 2".
R uses a Heckler & Koch USP as his main sidearm, which first appeared in "Hill of Destruction, Part 1." Lutz uses one as his main sidearm in the same episode.
Ugo uses a chrome IMI Desert Eagle as his main sidearm, first appearing in "Hill of Destruction, Part 1". It appears again in "Hill of Destruction, Part 2."
Dominique uses a S&W M945 Compact as his main sidearm, used in "Hill of Destruction, Part 1" and in "Hill of Destruction, Part 2".
Stainless Smith & Wesson on M945 Combat - .45 ACPFile:Dominique1.jpgDominique brandishes his M945 Compact.File:Dominique2.jpgA bit of a closeup of the M945 Compact.
CZ 52
Chen Guoming uses a CZ 52 as his main sidearm in a flashback in "Hill of Destruction, Part 1" and in "Hill of Destruction, Part 2". Since Chen is from China and the PLA uses Soviet/Russian-made weapons and indigenous small arms based on Soviet/Russian bullets, it would be justified for Chen to be armed with this pistol since he was deployed on covert missions in Central Asia and Africa.
SIG Pro SP 2022s are introduced in Perfect Order's "Dance with Undershaft, Part 1" by Koko to replace the sidearms of most of her bodyguards. Jonah does not get one since he continues to use his old sidearm instead.
One of Hex's SOG operatives pulls a SIG-Sauer P226 on Jonah in "Dance with Undershaft, Part 2" (S2E03). Chiquita and her team all used suppressed P226s in "Kasper and Jonah" (S2E04) while Chiquita uses it in "Castle of Lies, Part 1" (S2E05).

Taurus PT 24/7
Hex uses a Taurus PT 24/7 in "Dance with Understaft, Part 2" (S2E03) to commit sucide before an airstrike from a B52 bomber could kill her and her remaining SOG operatives.
Chiquita is seen holding an FN P90 TAC submachine gun with an EOTech red dot sight in the opening credits. She and Edgar, Alan and Poe use it as their main weapon in "Vein". They use it again in "Castle of Lie, Part 1" (S2E05) while engaging Special Research Unit commandos in downtown Jakarta in a hotel building.
Kaburagi, one of the last SR squad operativs, fired a suppressed Ingram MAC-11 at Jonah and Tojo in Tokyo Bay Aqua Line's Umihotaru in "Castle of Lie, Part 2".
Note the bolt has the extractor revealed, showing that it's an Ingram MAC-11, not MAC-10 as previously thought.
Jonah's primary weapon is an FN FNC rifle with tape wrapped around the stock struts for the 1st season until the 2nd season, when he changes to a Magpul Masada.
R can be seen firing a Steyr AUG A1 out a car window during the opening credits. It serves as his primary weapon. Tojo and Valmet also use the AUG A1 as their main weapon, seen in their South African operation in "African Golden Butterflies, Part 1". Valmet is seen with her AUG during a flashback in "Dance with Undershaft, Part 1."
A majority of the soldiers serving under Major Pollack are armed with AKS-74U rifles. Lu also uses one, most likely taken from a dead soldier. Jonah is armed with one in a flashback in "The Snake that Admires the Heavens". Hex uses on in "Dance with Undershaft, Part 1" in a flashback when she was conducting a black ops mission as a CIA SOG operative.

Colt CAR-15
A number of Colt CAR-15 rifles appear in throughout the series. Wiley appears to use the CAR-15 as his main assault rifle when he was conducting an escort mission near the southern Russian border. Lehm also uses the CAR-15 as his main weapon when he's not on sniper duty.

Colt M4A1
Wiley uses a Colt M4A1 as his personal weapon, which first appeared in South Africa in "African Golden Butterflies, Part 1". In "Mondo Grosso", Jonah and Lutz take on each other in a paintball range in Britain's East Sussex with paintball rifles that externally resembles M4A1s. In "The Snake that Admires the Heavens", CIA Special Operations Group operators are armed with M4A1s in a flashback when Koko explains to Jonah the positions in the CIA and during the shootout in "Dance with the Undershaft Phase 2". SR Unit commandos use the M4A1 with EOTech sights in downtown Jakarta after one of their comrades is killed by Chiquita during a negotation in "Castle of Lies, Part 1" (S2E05) and in Tokyo Bay Aqua Line's Umihotaru when they engage Koko's team in "Castle of Lies, Part 2" (S2E06).
The AK-47 makes several appearances throughout the series.

Vektor R5
Daxinghai contractors are armed with the Vektor R5 as their main assault rifle throughout the series, first seen in "African Golden Butterflies, Part 1" and then in "Hill of Destruction, Part 2". This makes sense in the episodes since they are deployed in African territory.

Valmet Rk 62
Valmet Rk 62s are used by Finnish UN peacekeepers in Valmet's flashback in the episodes "African Golden Butterflies, Part 2" and "Hill of Destruction, Part 1".
Koko gives her entire bodyguard team Magpul Masadas in the beginning of the second season, serving as their main assault rifle to replace their personal assault rifles. In the episode Castle of Lies Phase 2, they animated the charging handles reciprocating on several of the rifles.

FN SCAR-L
Hex and her CIA SOG team uses FN SCAR-L in the second season as their main assault rifle. Note that instead of using M16-based magazine, they use Magpul PMAGs as their magazines.
Valmet uses a FN Minimi Para during the chase sequence in "Gun Metal, Calico Road".

"Master" uses an IMI Negev LMG to take down the CRV driven by Ugo in Dubai in the episode "Musica Ex. Machina, Part 2". It's also seen in a flashback at the start of the same episode.
A 20 mm modèle F2 gun is seen in "African Golden Butterflies, Part 1" mounted on some Denel AH-2 Rooivalks in the DIESA arms fair and on a Mi-24 Super Hind Mark V.
File:Jormungand Rooivalk.jpgA South African Air Force AH-2 Rooivalk with the F2 gun mounted underneath the cockpit. Denel Land Systems MG4
A South African Army Rooikat on static display in the DIESA Arms Expo is seen with the DLS MG4 machine gun as a secondary weapon in "African Golden Butterflies, Part 1". The MG4 is the South African-made version of the Browning M1919.
Error creating thumbnail: File missingA variant of the Browning M1919 developed during World War 2, this model is designated the M37, with the ability to feed from either the left or the right of the weapon - 30-06. Zastava M87 NSVT
A Zastava M87 NSVT, the Serbian-made version of the Russian NSV machine gun, is seen on a T Republic tracked APC in the episode "Dragon Shooter, Part 1". Since the nameless country is based in the Balkans, it would make sense for its armed forces to be armed with Serbian/Yugoslav-made weapons as a first priority, followed by Russian/Soviet-made weapons.

ZU-23-2
A ZU-23-2 "Sergey" 23 mm anti-aircraft twin-barreled autocannon is fielded by a Balkan Dragon militia force to shoot down Koko's HCLI Antonov An-12 in "Dragon Shooter, Part 2". Though the ZU-23-2 hasn't been fielded to any army/militia force in the Balkans in reality, it's possible that the Balkan Dragons acquired it from a Balkan-based standing army in the Jormungand universe, courtesy of the USSR/Russia.
Lehm is seen firing a Remington 700PSS rifle during the opening sequence, usually used as his main sniper rifle. Another 700PSS is seen in "Musica Ex. Machina, Part 1" in the hands of Dubai SWAT snipers. In a flashback in "The Snake that Admires the Heavens", a CIA SOG team uses a 700PSS in a war-torn city.
A Daxinghai contractor takes aim with a IMI Galil Sniper rifle to assassinate Koko and Ugo in Port Elizabeth in the episode "African Golden Butterflies, Part 2".
A KBP SVU is used by Lee, a high-ranking Daxinghai contractor in "Hill of Destruction, Part 2." Jonah later kills Lee and disarms him of the rifle, using it to cover Valmet's approach. The SVU (PSO-1 scope included) has a desert tan camouflage.
A Knight's Armament SR-25 is the hands of one of Hex's SOG operatives in "Dance with the Undershaft phase 2".

Rocket Launchers
FGM-148 Javelin
During the chase scene in the pilot episode, a Voshkod 6 operator tries to take out Koko and Jonah's car with an FGM-148 Javelin. Koko manages to correctly identify the weapon by just the sound the rocket makes when it detonates.
Balkan Dragon militiamen use Strela 2M2J Savas, the Yugoslav-made version of the 9K32 “Strela-2” (or SA-7 Grail as a NATO reporting name), against the Antonov An-12 taking off at Planina Airport in the episode "Dragon Shooter, Part 2". Dragan's militia would be first equipped with Yugoslav/Serbian-made weapons before Soviet/Russian-made weapons since the T Republic is based in the Balkans.
An AN/M8 smoke grenade is used to facilitate Jonah's takedown in "Vein". Another one was used by a CIA SOG operative in "Dance with Undershaft, Part 1" in a flashback.
A C4 explosive was used by Wiley to blow up a Somali pirate speedboat in "African Golden Butterflies, Part 1".
File:J06c4.jpgThe C4 explosive Wiley tossed into the Somali pirate speedboat. (S1E06)
"Chinatsu Cannon Special"
In "Musica Ex. Machina, Part 1", Chinatsu uses a fictional weapon referred to as the Chinatsu Cannon Special to take out a Dubai Police Force cruiser responding to the shootout in downtown Dubai. It is a custom-made weapon, having the body of a Colt SAA revolver with a custom-made breech-loaded barrel, which is placed over where the barrel and cylinder of the revolver should be. It is fired similarly to other one-shot grenade launchers like the M79 and the HK69A1.
