Set during the darkest days of the Korean War, it tells the true story of 71 undertrained South Korean student soldiers who defended the P'ohang-dong girls school against the 766th Vanguard of the North Korean Army over 11 hours on August 11th, 1950.

Colt M1911A1
The Colt M1911A1 pistol makes an appearance in the hands of Kang Suk-Dae (Seung-woo Kim) during the battle in the prologue. Other US and ROK officers carry it holstered.

Nambu Type 14
The Nambu Type 14 pistol can be seen in the hands of several North Korean officers, most notably their commander, Park Mu-Rang (Seung-won Cha)
Rifles
M1 Garand
Most of the South Korean soldiers, U.S. soldiers and student soldiers use M1 Garand rifles, most notably Oh Jung-Beom (T.O.P) and Ku Kap-jo (Sang-woo Kwone). This rifle is one of main weapons of U.S. soldiers in WW2 and South Korean soldiers in Korean War.
M1 Carbine
Some of the South Korean soldiers and U.S. soldiers wield the M1 Carbine with both 15 and 30 round magazines. Kang Suk-Dae (Seung-woo Kim) also uses one throughout the film.
Mosin-Nagant
Most of the North Korean soldiers use Mosin Nagant rifles. Near the end of the film, Kap-Jo and Jang-Beom also capture this rifles to against North Korean soldiers.
SKS
The SKS is seen briefly in the hands of North Korean soldiers at the beginning of the film.
PPSh-41
Some North Korean soldiers and some students are seen wielding the PPSh-41 submachine-guns. Most notably Kap-jo at the end of the film. Mu-Rang (Cha Seung-Won) also use this gun to kill his comrade who dare to order him.
Maxim M1910
The Maxim M1910 is used on the rooftop by Jang-Beom and Kap-Jo. It also seen mounted on North Korean Army's halftrack.
Degtyaryov DPM
The Degtyaryov DPM is used by some of North Korean soldiers. Jang-Beom also use this gun to kill North Korean soldiers on the rooftop.
Browning M1919A4
At the beginning of the film, Browning M1919A4 is seen used by South Korean soldiers.
M20 "Super Bazooka"
A M20 "Super Bazooka" is used by South Korean soldiers to destroy North Korean tank.
Mk 2 Hand Grenade
71 student soldiers also use Mk 2 Hand Grenades to against North Korean soldiers along with their M1 Garand rifles.
M2 Mortar
M2 Mortar is used by student soldiers in the battle near the end of the film.
