I wanted to make a correction to the main page, the Baja Cartel snipers are said to use Remington RSASS rifles, but they are actually Sig 556 DMR's.

Better closeup of receiver.

Unknown pistol

In some shots of the trailer some unidentifiable pistols are shown.

That looks more like a SIG SAUER than a USP Compact. Bristow8411 19:05, 6 July 2012 (CDT)

Chon being held up by a gangbanger. Possibly a HK USP Compact. Again excuse the YouTube bar.

Remington 870

Chon with his shotgun. The novel describes this scene as "Chon leaves his "Pony" (the Ford Mustang behind him) with a "Remington Model 870 SPS Super Slug pump action, 12-gauge with a synthetic cantilevered slug and a rubberized pistol grip that 'advances deer-leveling technology to farther reaches and smaller group sizes than ever before'."-Don Winslow's Savages, chapter 31, page 46.

Just because it is said to be a Remington 870 in the book does not mean it will be an 870 in the movie. Movies miss details from the books they are based off all the time. For example in No Country for Old Men, Llewelyn's rifle is described as a Mauser rifle, but in the movie adaptation Llewelyn uses a Remington 700. --SmithandWesson36 12:08, 29 April 2012 (CDT)

Just about to post the same thing. So it does not mean that the shotgun is actually a 870, we will see when the movie comes out. In the meantime should we just call it unknown shotgun? Also about the M1911, just because of the beavertail and hammer, it doesn't necessarily mean that it's a Kimber either, it's not that hard to get a M1911 modified with those parts. Bristow8411 12:47, 29 April 2012 (CDT)

Yeah, I agree they should be listed as unknown shotgun and unknown 1911 variant right now until we can get better shots of both guns. --SmithandWesson36 13:00, 29 April 2012 (CDT)
Also, Ben's pistol looks like a Heckler & Koch HK45C, so I'm going to list it as such. --SmithandWesson36 13:04, 29 April 2012 (CDT)
This was my first time creating a page. How did I do? --Plumtree23
The overall format was good, I had to make a few changes to the page, but nothing major, so not too bad for a first page, better than a lot of other first pages I have seen. --SmithandWesson36 22:53, 29 April 2012 (CDT)

Lado's M1911A1

I distinctly remember the Lado character using an M1911A1 early on in the film, in the part where he killed Shea Whigham's character.

Vests

Hey anyone recognize the vests they were wearing during the first convoy assault --Iceman (talk) 17:23, 1 November 2012 (EDT)
