Up until recently I was viewing this wiki from a 16:9 monitor. After having switched to an older 4:3 monitor due to various circumstances, I was dismayed to discover that the infoboxes now sit on the left of the page, pushing everything else under it. This wasn't a problem under the old system in which all we needed was a shot of the game's cover art/box cover--we could align it to the right to let everything proceed as normal with the overview and table of contents at top, aligned left, and the game's cover aligned right. Is there any way to force the infoboxes to align right at all monitor proportions, like the old cover art images used to be? --Mazryonh (talk) 14:05, 5 September 2012 (EDT) | Up until recently I was viewing this wiki from a 16:9 monitor. :Please look at the discussion in the forum. We just upgraded MediaWiki so we are still debugging. --Zackmann08 (talk) 14:34, 5 September 2012 (EDT) | :Please look at the discussion in the forum. I think with this (and the others) it would be better if you had the date it was released rather than just the year. Would make sorting tables into chrono order soooo much easier... Evil Tim 02:13, 11 May 2012 (CDT)
- The main reason I haven't is that I'm worried it will encourage people to put the full date into the tables. What are you thoughts? Also, with the tables, does it really matter if they are in EXACT chronological order? I thought we only cared about the year?? (P.S. Thanks for the feedback. Keep it coming.) --Zackmann08 10:07, 11 May 2012 (CDT)
- Well, when I fixed the videogame tables for M134 minigun I went to the effort of looking up all the release dates to put them in exact chrono order. Also, I think release date would be better at the top, and we need to define what a "developer" is for purposes of this. With increasing outsourcing, a game like Wolfenstein has at least five devs (Id, Raven, Pi Studios, Endrant Studios and some outfit called Threewave) and I know Raven worked on MW3's DLC levels, too. So the same 'just the major ones' we use for shooting locations? Evil Tim 05:45, 16 May 2012 (CDT)
- With regards to the "developers", thus far I'm just going off of wikipedia which prolly isnt a winning strategy so I agree we should probably decide on a rule there. I will defer to your judgment (and that of other admins). I agree that the date should be moved to the top. One of the great things about using a template is that changing it here will change it on every page! :-) As far as release date I still maintain that we shouldn't worry about the month or day of release. I just think its that much more info that we don't really need and I'm worried it will cause people to start adding the full date to gun pages... But again, I will always defer to the admins. --Zackmann08 10:43, 16 May 2012 (CDT)

How to force the alignment to the right?
