Memorial Day is a 2011 US Drama. On Memorial Day, 1993, 13-year old Kyle Vogel (Jackson Bond) discovers the World War II footlocker of his grandfather Bud (James Cromwell), a veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division, he convinces the reluctant Bud to open up about his war experiences. A decade later, Kyle is a SSG in the 34rd Infantry Division serving in Iraq. Wounded by an IED, he starts reflecting on the stories of his grandfather and his own combat experiences.
