Perry King and Joe Penny starred in the series as Cody and Nick, two Army veterans who run a private detective agency based out of a Southern California marina aboard a boat named Riptide. They are assisted by "Boz" (Thom Bray), an expert computer hacker whom they met in the military. The series was co-created by Stephen J. Cannell, who was responsible for many classic 80's action series including The A-Team, which aired immediately before Riptide on Tuesday nights.
