The primary purpose of the site is to document what firearms were used in scripted media. Originally the site had started out with just films and then television and videogames were added. Reality shows' use of firearms is usually relegated to re-enactments or test firing of real weapons and is not something the site wants to document now. Some documentaries and historical shows that already had extensive work done on them were allowed to stay, but most now have not been allowed. There are enough films and television series that haven't been documented yet and would better serve the site's purpose other than reality series. --Ben41 02:27, 29 July 2012 (CDT) | The primary purpose of the site is to document what firearms were used in scripted media. 1000 ways to die
You appear to be uploading images from the series 1000 Ways to Die, however these images appear to be of vastly inferior quality. Please find better quality sources for your screen captures. You can use a program such as Fast Stone Image Viewer to capture images from your computer screen. --Ben41 21:15, 2 May 2012 (CDT)
Not a valid title
This is NOT a film. It is NOT a narrative series. It is basically a documentary series which is not allowed. Sure there are reenactments but so did other banned series like "DEA" or "Houston SWAT" or the various History Channel shows. MoviePropMaster2008 21:39, 2 May 2012 (CDT)
Gun Images
When you add a gun image to a movie page, please dont make it 600px. Only screencaps need to be 600. Gun images should be 300-400. --Zackmann08 21:09, 17 May 2012 (CDT)
Mossberg HS12
You need to look at the Mossberg HS12 page that you created because it is NOT formatted correctly. --Zackmann08 12:30, 28 May 2012 (CDT)
- You added television occurances using the the table for a video game... You place "The Walking dead" in the "Game Title" column... etc. etc. You also didn't add the "this weapon has appeared in...." --Zackmann08 18:38, 28 May 2012 (CDT)
CSI
Hey man. Thanks for your help IDing guns on the CSI page. :-) One word of advice for future reference. When attempting to identify a gun, post on the discussion page if you are not certain, that way people don't have to undo your edits. (Here's an example). Thanks for your help though!! --Zackmann08 11:06, 10 June 2012 (CDT)
- Just like that! Perfect. Thanks man! --Zackmann08 12:59, 10 June 2012 (CDT)
Auction Hunters
Sorry, but Auction Hunters is a reality/documentary and is not eligible for this site. The general rule is that if the series is a reality or documentary using real weapons, it is mostly not eligible. If you still have questions, then ask me or another admin. --Ben41 00:39, 26 June 2012 (CDT)
Screenshots
I have removed the screenshots. In the future, please use High quality sources when grabbing screenshots. HD is preferable. --Ben41 00:50, 26 June 2012 (CDT)
Edit Summary
Please watch the language that you put in your edit summaries. Things such as "Get the fuck out before I hunt you like a deer", "Shut your fucking mouth" and "die" are not necessary. Just place "SPAM" in the summary or leave it blank. --Zackmann08 13:07, 8 July 2012 (CDT)
New Ideas
One word or warning... While I LOVE your new idea, and I believe other admins will as well, before you make any other new types of pages, you need to get admin approval. I am all for creating new things that can be useful but there is a proper way to do it. I was the one who came up with the Manufacturer pages a while back, but I needed to get the OK from the admins before I created all of them. If you have another idea, please post it in the forum, on the Main Page Discussion or talk to an admin one-on-one. As I said, I am all in favor of floating new ideas, but if you go about it the wrong way it can annoy the admins. Hope you get what I mean and again, I really do like your idea for the List of firearms used by U.S. Armed Forces! :-) --Zackmann08 09:14, 19 July 2012 (CDT)
- Also, when you need to link to a particular gun that is a subsection of a larger page (such as the M1911 which is part of the M1911 pistol series), instead of putting M1911, you need to simply put M1911? The reason for this is 2 fold. One, if the M1911 is ever moved from this page, the other format will no longer work. (Now obviously in THIS case, the M1911 is never going to be moved from the M1911 pistol series page. But we ran into this issue when we reorganized this page and had to redo EVERY page that linked to the Kimber models or the Springfield models, etc.). Secondly, if the subheading is ever changed (say from "M1911" to "Colt M1911", this link will not work any more. In either case of a change happening, the M1911 redirect can simply be changed instead of having to change EVERY page. Does that make sense?? I'm trying to make this easier so that it will work better in the future. I know this is a little confusing so let me know if I don't make sense. You can also see the discussion about this in the forum. :-) --Zackmann08 09:17, 19 July 2012 (CDT)
- Gotcha. The issue is that only Bunni can approve new members on the forum. Post a message on his talk page. I'll also mention it to him when I talk to him later. In the mean time, just use the Main Page discussion. --Zackmann08 13:55, 19 July 2012 (CDT)

Howdy
Hi. Nice to meet you. Your 15 too, eh? That makes me feel more comfortable. I certainly will come to you or an admin if I need help. Thanks for the warm welcome.
