The following weapons appear in the video game Forgotten Hope 2:
NOTE: For the original game, see Battlefield 2.'
Sidearms
Colt M1911A1
The Colt M1911A1 is the main sidearm for the U.S. Army faction, although it can be found used by the British and Canadian factions. Unlike in Battlefield 2, where every class is issued a sidearm, only the Non-Commissioned Officers, Support Gunners, Sidearms and Antitank Infantry carry them in Forgotten Hope 2. Each faction are issued only three magazines, or eighteen rounds for the revolvers, and their short range and stopping power makes them only useful in desperate, close quarter situations.
M1917 Revolver
The Colt Military version of the M1917 Revolver, distinguishable by it's elongated barrel compared to the Smith & Wesson model, is carried as a back-up weapon by U.S. Army Support Gunners.
Webley Mk VI
The Webley Mk VI is the main sidearm for Commonwealth forces (Great Britain, Canada, Australia and New Zealand) in-game.
Webley & Scott MkIII
The Webley & Scott MkIII flare pistol is issued to New Zealand LRDG Commandos in Operation Hyacinth. It fires a dull flare on a well-lit map and is no use against enemy soldiers, making it practically useless except as scenery.
Browning Hi-Power
The Browning Hi-Power, along with the Colt M1911A1, is carried by several classes of the British and Canadian factions. It is also used (although scarcely) by the German faction on occasion. A variant of the in-game Hi-Power, fitted with a "broomhandle" stock, is carried by the British 47 Royal Marine Commando Faction in the map Port en Bessin.
Luger P08
The Luger P08 is the main sidearm for the the Deutsche Afrika Korps (D.A.K.), a German sub-faction.
Walther P38
The Walther P38 is the main sidearm for the German faction in-game.
Sauer 38H
The Sauer 38H is available in some maps as a sidearm for the German faction. Historically, the Sauer 38H was developed in Nazi Germany as a competitor for the Luger P08 and Walther P38, although the Sauer was mostly used by Police Officers whilst the Luger and Walther typically ended up amongst front-line troops.
Beretta M1934
The Beretta M1934 appears as the sidearm for the Italian faction.
Submachine Guns
M1928 Thompson
The M1928 Thompson is used by Commonwealth factions in Greece, Crete and North Africa. It fires from both a 30-round stick and 50-round drum magazine, and can be selected to fire both at a single and full automatic rate of fire. Out of all the submachine guns in the game, the Thompson's have the highest recoil.
M1A1 Thompson
The M1A1 Thompson is used by the U.S. faction, as well as by some British and Canadian classes. It uses a 30-round stick magazine and, like the M1928, fires at both single and full automatic.
M3 Grease Gun
On some maps, the M3 Grease Gun replaces the M1 Carbine as the weapon for the U.S. Engineer Class.
Sten Mk II
The Sten Mk II is used by the British and Canadian factions in France. The suppressed Sten Mk IIS is used by Royal Marine Commandos in Port en Bessin. The developers made the common error of having the character animation hold the Sten by it's magazine: in reality, this could and would cause a misfire. It can be fired in single or full automatic.
MP40
The MP40 is used by the German faction. As with the Sten, the animation shows the player character (improperly) holding the weapon by it's magazine.
Beretta Model 38A
The Beretta Model 38A is used by the Italian faction. It can be operated at both a single and fully automatic rate of fire.
Rifles
M1903A1 Springfield
The M1903A1 Springfield rifle is the weapon for the U.S. Army Rangers Recon Class.
M1903A4 Springfield
The M1903A4 Springfield is the sniper rifle for the U.S. Army Faction. Unlike in Battlefield 2, where there is a default sniper class, sniper rifles in Forgotten Hope 2 function as an "Easter Egg", as they can be only picked up from odd locations in maps, such as the main base or recently captured spawn points.
M1917 Enfield
The M1917 Enfield can occasionally be found as part of a U.S. Army Engineer Kit which can only be picked up; substituting demolitions for an ammunition box.
M1 Garand
Unsurprisingly, the M1 Garand makes an appearance as the main service rifle of the U.S. Army Faction. It can be fitted with a bayonet and, on some maps, a rifle grenade launcher.
M1 Carbine
The M1 Carbine is primarily used by the U.S. Army Faction Engineer Class. It is animated with the buttstock twin magazine pouch.
M1A1 Carbine
The M1A1 Carbine appears in maps featuring the 101st Airborne Division.
Pattern M1914
The earliest model of the M1917 Enfield, the Pattern M1914, fitted with a telescopic sight, is used as a sniper rifle by Commonwealth forces in maps set in Greece, Crete and North Africa.
Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk.III*
The Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk.III* is the main weapon of Commonwealth forces in Greece, Crete and North Africa. It can be fitted with a bayonet, and on some maps, a rifle grenade launcher. It is easily distinguished from the No.4 Mk.I* by it's stubbier shape, shorter muzzle and simplified, non-hooded iron sights.
Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I
British and Canadian factions fighting in France use the Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I. It can be fitted with a bayonet, and on some maps, a rifle grenade launcher. In contrast to the No.1 Mk.III*, it has an elongated sights and hooded, more accurate iron sights.
Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I(T)
The [[Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I(T) is used as a sniper rifle by British and Canadian forces in France.
Karabiner 98k
The Karabiner 98k is the main weapon of the German Army faction in-game. It can be fitted with a bayonet, and on some maps, a rifle grenade launcher. An interesting difference in models from maps set in North Africa and post D-Day Europe is the iron sights - the former maps feature "curved" iron sights, whilst the latter have hooded sights, making them more accurate. Two more models, respectively fitted with a 1.5x Zeiss ZF41 scope and a Zeiss ZF42 telescopic sight can be picked up as "easter eggs".
Gewehr 43
The Gewehr 43 makes an appearance in maps set post D-Day. One model with a ZF4 scope can be picked up as an "easter egg".
FG 42
The FG 42 is used by the German Fallschirmjäger faction in the Purple Heart Lane map. One model is fitted with a ZF4 scope.
Sturmgewehr 44
The Sturmgewehr 44 can be used by the German faction in maps set in post D-Day Belgium. One model is fitted with a ZF4 scope.
Carcano M91
The Carcano M91 is the main rifle for the Italian faction. It can be fitted with a bayonet.
Carcano M91/38 Short Rifle
The Carcano M91/38 Short Rifle is also issued to the Italian faction. Like the Carcano 91, it can be fitted with a bayonet.
Machine Guns
M1918A2 Browning Automatic Rifle
The M1918A2 Browning Automatic Rifle is the main weapon for the U.S. Faction Support Class. It can be fired from the hip, but a deployable bipod can also be used for more stabilized firing and accuracy. The player has to be prone to use the bipod. Amusingly, in the map Ramelle-Neuville, a reference to the climatic battle of Saving Private Ryan, the B.A.R used by PFC Reiben (Edward Burns) in the film has been modeled for the game, with the bipod removed and the ability to fire at both the default 450 rpm and the increased 600 rpm used by Reiben in the film.
Browning M1919
The Browning M1919 can be picked up from US bases and depots. It can be deployed by throwing down the portable tripod, which sets up the gun in prone position. It can also be found in MG nests, and pintle mounted on M4 Sherman Tank variants, the M5A1 Stuart (also turret-mounted) and the M8 Greyhound Armoured Car.
Browning M1919A6
The Browning M1919A6 is used by the 101st Airborne Faction in Belgium. It has to be deployed to fire. It can also be found in stationary machine gun nests.
Lewis Gun
A portable version of the Lewis Gun, which has to be deployed in the prone position to be fired, is used by the support class of a New Zealand LRDG (Long Range Desert Group) in North Africa. It is also mounted on Chevy 30WCT jeeps alongside the Vickers Mk1, and on LCA (Landing Craft, Assault) transports in the Pointe-du-Hoc map.
Vickers Mk1
The Vickers Mk1 is used by Commonwealth forces in-game. It can be picked up and deployed into a stationary weapon via tripod, found mounted in MG nests or on Chevy 30WCT jeeps.
Vickers K
The Vickers K can be seen dual-mounted on Willys MB jeeps used by the LRDG (Long Range Desert Group) in North Africa.
ZB26 Machine Gun
The ZB26 Machine Gun is carried by German soldiers on Pointe-du-Hoc. This is historically accurate, as the Wehrmacht was so impressed by the Czech machine gun they adopted it under the designation of MG26(t). It fires in either semi or full-automatic and can be deployed on a bipod.
MG34
The MG34 is carried by German Machine Gunners pre-1944, when it is replaced by the MG42. Afterwards it still makes an appearance, mounted on Lafette tripods or pintle/turret-mounted on numerous German vehicles. The portable variant has to be deployed to fire.
MG42
The MG42 is used by German soldiers in France and Belgium. It has to be deployed to fire. It can be seen mounted in MG nests, on Lafette tripods or turret-mounted on armour.
Breda Modello 30
The Breda Modello 30 is carried by Italian Machine Gunners. It has to be deployed to fire, and can operate in semi or full automatic.
Breda Modello 37
The Breda Modello 37 can be seen mounted in Italian MG nests, and on the Camionetta 42 "Sahariana" scoutcar.
Breda Modello 38
The Breda Modello 38 is mounted coaxially on the Carro Armato L6/40 light tank used by the Italian faction.
