The following guns were used in the film Layer Cake:
Unidentified double-barreled shotgun
During XXXX's opening narration about armed robberies in the early 1960s, a robber can be seen brandishing a 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun.
Heckler & Koch USP Compact
"The Duke" (Jamie Foreman) uses a two-tone Heckler & Koch USP Compact when stealing the drugs from the Serbians. Gene's bodyguard later uses the same gun when dealing with the Duke himself.
MAC-10
Slasher (Sally Hawkins) and Gazza (Burn Gorman) use MAC-10s during the robbery of the Serbians' drugs. One of XXXX's buyers uses a MAC-10 during the "armed robbery" towards the end.
unidentified single shot shotgun
Kilburn Jerry (Ben Brasier) uses a 12 Gauge Shotgun to threaten Crazy Larry (Jason Flemyng) in the 1970s flashback.
Luger P08 Artillery
XXXX (Daniel Craig) plays with a Luger P08 Artillery from Gene's cabinet arsenal.
Type 67 silenced pistol
XXXX (Daniel Craig) takes Gene's Chinese Type 67 silenced pistol, later using it to carry out the hit on Jimmy Price (Kenneth Cranham). It turns out that this was the gun Jimmy gave Gene (Colm Meaney) in the 1970s to kill Crazy Larry with.
M16
Mr. Lucky (Paul Orchard), who is hired by XXXX to kill Dragan, has a sniper-adapted M16.
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
The police who raid Sidney (Ben Whishaw) and Gazza's operation have Heckler & Koch MP5A3s.
Someone forgot about the MP5K's used by the henchmen at the end.
unidentified snubnose revolver
Sidney (Ben Whishaw) uses a snubnose during the final scene of the film.
Pretty sure it's a Model 36 --Taurus96 11:21, 15 July 2011 (CDT).
Gene's armory
Gene McGuire (Colm Meaney) keeps a small arsenal inside his cabinet, including:
- Thompson M1928
- Luger P08 Artillery
- Browning Hi-Power
- M1911A1
- Welrod pistol
- Type 67 silenced pistol
- Smith & Wesson Model 19
A Remington 870 and a Winchester Model 1873 can be seen on the doors. XXXX plays with the Luger and eventually takes the Type 67. looks like there's a Beretta M1934 a Ruger Redhawk and a Smith & Wesson Model 29 as well.
