Sonic X is a Japanese anime featuring the SEGA mascot video game character Sonic the Hedgehog. It was produced by TMS Entertainment and ran for three seasons (2003-2005). The story starts with a mechanical accident that launches Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends (and enemies) into an alternative world, which is our own home Earth in the present time.

Just like our home, several human characters are seen carrying weapons, including police officers, agents, and special operators from G.U.N. (Guardian Units of Nations, a fictional agency designed to counter nemesis Dr. Eggman.) Even though the show focuses mostly on Sonic and his friends, various weapons have been seen to detail.

Submachine Guns

MP5A3

Throughout the first two seasons, various police officers and G.U.N. operators are seen carrying the Heckler and Koch MP5 submachine guns. In episode 11, G.U.N. operator Topaz is seen carrying an MP5A3, clearly identifiable by it's old-version extending buttstock, SEF Trigger Group with the finger grooves, 3-Lug barrel, and the tropical forearm.

Sniper Rifles

Heckler and Koch PSG-1

In the 3rd episode, police officers try to hold one of Dr. Eggman's robots at bay. They seem to be equipped with H&K PSG-1 rifles. One difference between these and the real PSG-1's is the visibility of wooden forearms and buttstocks.
