At the film's beginning, a Smith & Wesson Model 10 appears to be used in an assassination attempt on a US Senator at Seattle's Space Needle. Sheriff L.D. Wicker (Kenny Thordsen) also is seen pulling a Smith & Wesson Model 10 on Joseph Frady (Warren Beatty).
