Convoy is a 1978 trucker film directed by Sam Peckinpah and stars Kris Kristofferson as a renegade truck driver who butts heads with a corrupt sheriff (Ernest Borgnine). It was one of the last films made by Peckinpah before his death in 1984, although at this point Peckinpah was heavily using cocaine, so much of the film was actually directed by his friend James Coburn

State troopers and US National Guard are armed with the M16A1s as they open fire on the truck driven by Martin "Rubber Duck" Penwald (Kris Kristofferson).
