There Be Dragons is a 2011 film about the early life of Josemaría Escrivá, founder of Opus Dei (Work of God), told through the flashbacks of Manolo Torres, a fictional friend of Escrivá. Most of the story is told during the Spanish Civil War, where Torres struggles with being a spy for the Nationalist whilst fighting alongside Republicans, and Escrivá struggles with being a Catholic priest in Republican-occupied territory.
