Červenka with a help of corporal Vodička ([[Radoslav Brzobohatý]]) also cause a split among the soldiers. While a minority adds to soldier Noha ([[Rudolf Deyl]]) and wants to unite with the workers, most led by humanist and pacifist  Vodička, issued to walk home. On the way near Ceská Lípa, however, surprised by 18th regiment, which starts shooting them. Soldiers late understand was a mistake, that at the request of corporal Vodička before the enemy lines throw away their weapons. The defenseless rebels are massacred and the rest captured. The three surviving leaders of the revolt, Vodicka, Koval ([[Martin Ruzek]]) and Noha, are sentenced to death. Then returnees are promptly sent to the Italian front.
