Yuri Vladimirovich Nikulin (December 18, 1921 – August 21, 1997) was a popular Soviet film actor, comedian, and circus clown. He began his screen career in 1958 and played in almost 40 movies. His most known roles were in such movies as Dog Barbos and Extraordinary Cross (Pyos Barbos i neobychnyj kross), Bootleggers (Samogonshchiki), Operation Y & Other Shurik's Adventures, Kidnapping Caucassian Style, or Shurik's New Adventures (Kavkazskaya plennitsa, ili Novye priklyucheniya Shurika) and the most famous Diamond Arm (Brilliantovaya Ruka).
