As he sees the Firefox take off, Gant's Russian contact puts a Walther to his head as the soldiers close in on him.

Another scientist pulls a Tokarev TT-33 in the hangar.

A Valmet M71S rifle (standing in for a Kalashnikov variant) is first seen in the hands of VC who transport a downed Mitchell Gant in Vietnam. Trivia Section
- The "Moscow" scenes were filmed in Vienna with the countryside scenes in Hungary. In one subway scene, you can read German signs.
- The helicopter cockpits of the Mi-24 Hinds that search for the Firefox are in fact the same cockpits used in the film Blue Thunder.
- MiG-31 depicted in the film is entirely fictional and nothing to do with real MiG-31 "Foxhound"
- The Soviet cruiser shown in one scene is in fact an American Belknap class guided missile cruiser.
