Downtown is a 1990 action comedy starring Anthony Edwards as Philadelphia police officer who gets transferred from the suburbs to the toughest precinct in the city and gets partnered with a tough inner city detective (Forest Whitaker) in order to take down a city crime lord. The film was directed by Richard Benjamin.

Philadelphia Police Department Officer Alex Kearney (Anthony Edwards) carries a Smith & Wesson Model 19 revolver as his sidearm throughout the film. Other uniformed officers throughout the film also use the S&W.
Ruger Speed Six
Detective Dennis Curren (Forest Whitaker) carries an Ruger Speed Six revolver as his sidearm throughout the film. A memorable scene is where he uses it to shoot Alex's radio while in a hospital bed.
Smith & Wesson Model 66
Luisa Diaz (Wanda De Jesus) uses a snub-nosed Smith & Wesson Model 66 during the precinct shootout.
Colt Detective Special (3rd Generation)
Alex also is seen carrying a 3rd Generation Colt Detective Special.
Ithaca 37
A Philadelphia officer is armed with an Ithaca 37 shotgun during the precinct shootout.
Mossberg 500AT
Curren is also seen holding a Mossberg 500AT shotgun with a sawed-off stock when he pretends to hold Kearney hostage.
