The following guns were used in the film King Kong (1976):
M1 Flamethrower
Used by National Guardsmen atop the World Trade Center.
M16
Carried by National Guardsmen.
M134 Minigun
While on top of the World Trade Center, Kong is strafed by Huey gunships armed with rockets and M134 miniguns. Footage of the minigun firing was later reused in the 1987 film The Running Man. This moment inspired this funny video.
Colt Python
The first mate of the Petrox Explorer, Carnahan (Ed Lauter), uses what appears to be Colt Python.
Winchester Model 1897 "Trench Gun"
One of the sailors, Joe Perko (Jack O'Halloran), carries a Winchester Model 1897 "Trench Gun"
Remington Model 760
One of the sailors uses a Remington Model 760 pump action rifle.
