Nice, but where's the trigger? This article or section is incomplete. You can help IMFDB by expanding it. |
The following firearms are used in the HBO series Boardwalk Empire:
Handguns
Smith & Wesson Model 10 "Military & Police"
Several characters throughout the series, including Sheriff Elias "Eli" Thompson (Shea Wigham) and Al Capone (Stephen Graham), use the Smith & Wesson Model 10, known during the show's era (the 1920s) as the "Military & Police" Model.
Smith & Wesson .44 Double Action
Davey Murdoch (Billy Smith) is told to drop his Smith & Wesson .44 Double Action by Jimmy and Capone in the pilot episode.
Smith & Wesson Model 10 HB
Agent Nelson Van Alden (Michael Shannon) fires a Smith & Wesson Model 10 HB (anachronistic for the 1920s era) at the firing range with the other Prohibition agents in training.
Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless
Jimmy Darmody (Michael Pitt) carries a Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless in a shoulder holster. It is differentiated from the .380 ACP Model 1908 in "Home", when Richard Harrow (Jack Huston) asks Jimmy what type of pistol he is carrying and Jimmy responds: "A Colt 1903".
M1911
M1911 pistols are used throughout the series by several characters. "Chalky" White (Michael K. Williams) uses a matched set of nickel 1911s to capture Meyer Lansky.
Colt Pocket Positive
Mucky (Steve Buscemi) uses this to kill Jimmy Darmody (Michael Pitt) in the season 2 finale http://www.imfdb.org/w/images/1/14/ColtPocketPositive.jpg
Shotguns
Double Barreled Shotgun
Many characters use full length side-by-side Double Barreled Shotguns throughout the series. Jimmy Darmody (Michael Pitt) uses one when ambushing Rothstein's truck drivers in the pilot episode.
Browning Auto-5
Browning Auto-5 shotguns are used by several characters throughout the series. In the pilot episode, Al Capone (Stephen Graham) carries a Browning Auto-5, as do several of Rothstein's drivers and several Prohibition agents.
Winchester Model 1912
Several Prohibition agents carry Winchester Model 1912 shotguns.
Lupara
Luparas are used in several episodes. Al Capone (Stephen Graham) uses one in "Family Limitation" to ambush members of the Irish mob. Richard Harrow also uses one against the D'Alessio brothers in the episode "Return to Normalcy".
Submachine Guns
M1921 Thompson
The Thompson Submachine Gun appears in the original M1921 configuration in .45ACP with a 50-round drum magazine. The firearms in the story are surplus military weapons and are sold illegally to the IRA by Nucky Thompson (Steve Buscemi).
Rifles
M1917 Enfield
Richard Harrow uses a scoped M1917 Enfield to kill a man in a restaurant. Harrow names it in a list of firearms he owns along with a Colt 1903, Roth-Steyr, Smith & Wesson "Triple Lock", and a Mauser 1914. Also used by Chalky White to shoot a KKK member.
Machine Guns
Browning M1917
a Browning M1917 is Used by KKK members to assault a liquor factory run by Chalky White before it jams.
Other
Mark I Trench Knife
Jimmy Darmody (Michael Pitt) carries a 1918 Mark I Trench Knife in his left boot. The writers are doing a little bit of homework on this series as when Jimmy is asked what the point on the top of the handle is he says it's a skull crusher and is used for "cracking walnuts."
