Black Battalion, The (original: Cerný prapor) is czech war movie. At airport is landing an aircraft, which returns home special passengers. The hero Václav Malý (Jan Mares) is a member of a Foreign Legion unit, fighting on behalf of the French colonial government. Actually, he has a hidden agenda: a former private in the Czech army, he hopes to exact vengeance against his new commander (Hannjo Hasse), who during WWII was the Nazi officer responsible for the murder of the hero's family. Scenes from the fighting in the jungle were shot in an island and the fort was built at the Barrandov studios. is set in French Indo-China.
