Cutie Honey (2004)

Cutie Honey is a live action movie remake of the 1973 anime television series Cutey Honey and was directed by Hideki Anno (Neon Genesis Evangelion). The film was followed by a direct remake two months after its release in the form of the (significantly better received) anime OVA Re: Cutie Honey. The movie makes use of several animated segments (namely for the opening theme and flashbacks) that would later be used in the OVA. A live-action television series, Cutie Honey THE LIVE, followed three years later, marking a significant improvement over it's theatrical predecessor.

NOTE: Being that this was filmed in Japan, none of the firearms are real and are largely a combination of capfiring blowback replicas and airsoft replicas with CGI muzzle flashes and casings.

The following firearms were seen in the movie Cutie Honey:

Handguns

SIG-Sauer P230

Inspector Aki Natsuko (Mikako Ichikawa) uses a SIG-Sauer P230 pistol with plastic grips and a black finish throughout the movie.

Nambu Model 60

Officer Tokimura(Ryo Iwamatsu) is seen with a snub-nose Nambu Model 60 revolver. This is likely the "X Cartridge Police Revolver" airsoft replica manufactured by Marushin.

Smith & Wesson Model 10 M&P

The police officers at the beginning of the movie are armed with Smith & Wesson Model 10 M&P revolvers. These appear to be airsoft replicas manufactured by Tanaka and are likely meant to stand in for the Nambu Model 60.

Luger P08

Most of the Panther Claw goons are armed with gold Luger P08 pistols. All of these pistols are gas blowback airsoft replicas with CGI muzzle flashes and spent brass added in post-production. Some of these are replicas manufactured by Tanaka that have been spray-painted gold, while some are the limited edition "Ashford Special" pistols (modeled after the gold Lugers from Resident Evil: Code Veronica X) manufactured by Tokyo Marui (identifiable by the ornate grips).

Several of the Panther Claw goons in the opening fight scene are armed with Heckler & Koch MP5A3 submachine guns with Navy trigger groups and XM177 flashhiders. These props are capfiring replicas of an unidentified make. As with the Luger and Nambu pistols, the magazine, upper receiver and barrel/bolt assembly of each MP5 has been painted gold.
