The following weapons were used in Season 1 of the original Hawaii Five-0
Handguns Smith & Wesson Model 36 The main sidearm of the Five-O detectives is Smith & Wesson Model 36 . Those who carry the handgun include Steve McGarrett (Jack Lord ) and Danny "Danno" Williams (James MacArthur ) and Kono (Zulu ). McGarrett's Model 36 is carried in a shoulder rig and sports custom wood grips. Also seen in the hands of Lt. Phil Kalama in Season 1's "Along Came Joey" (S1E19).

Auston (Yaphet Kotto ) is seen holding the revolver while hallucinating that he is still in Vietnam. Also seen in the hands of a peace activist/murderer in Season 1's "Not That Much Different" (S1E22).
