The D-101 and DM-101 models were released in 1969 and were chambered in .22 LR and .22 Magnum respectively, and were available in blued, nickel, electroless nickel, silver and gold plated finishes. After production ceased in 1984, the design was adapted by Benjamin Johnson Technologies into the .38 Special [[DA38 Derringer]].
