I am going to start the process of splitting this up into seasons soon. I'm working on Capping season 7 and what has already aired from Season 8. If anyone has any of the earlier seasons and wants to help out, let me know. :-) --[[User:Zackmann08|Zackmann08]] 22:33, 19 February 2012 (CST) |
Revision as of 04:33, 20 February 2012
CSI: NY (2004-???) is yet another spin off from the popular show CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000-???), now moving the venue to New York City. Out of the three shows, CSI: NY is probably the most inaccurate regarding firearms and firearms forensics. Despite the fact that there are tons of firearms on the show, the script writers know very little about guns in general (and it shows, like declaring that the AR15 is the only(!) firearm that fires the 5.56mm NATO round, ignoring the 50 plus other guns that fire the same cartridge).
- Also they apparently don't know that Jahrzeit is DOES NOT have a "y" in it-S&Wshooter 06:05, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
- I own a bunch of the DVD seasons for this show, I'll contribute eventually. -GM

At one point at the beginning of Point of View, Mac's Glock changes to a SIG.24.15.51.1
Season 7 episodes
There have been several firearms that appeared in recent episodes this season. -Various models of the 1911 are used in "Sangre Por Sangre" most notably used akimbo by Edward James Olmos, and by Yancey Arias in the final gunfight. -In "Nothing for Something," Raymnod Harris (Clifton Collins Jr.) takes out a Springfield 1911, Beretta 92FS, and an AK variant with a drum magazine from a hiding place in his apartment. He then uses the AK in the next episode "Life Sentence," on the assault on Mac's lab, unloading 100 rounds into his office from a building across the street. At the climactic gunfight of this episode, Harris assault's Mac's car with a shotgun (it looks like a Mossberg 500) and then a Steyr TMP. Mac returns fire with his Glock 17. When his Glock runs dry, Mac switches to the snubnose revolver (most likely Smith and Wesson) with pearl handles which he got from his old partner Bill Hunt (Peter Fonda). -In "Smooth Criminal" the hitman (played by Ne-Yo) uses a Glock 17 as his main weapon. He also uses a pump action shotgun (I think its a Mossberg 500 as well, I could be wrong). -In the episode "Hide Sight" the sniper uses a Beretta 92FS to engage on Mac and the SWAT team on the rooftop in the climax of the episode.

Splitting up into different seasons
