The Darkness II is the sequel to the wildly popular 2007 video game, The Darkness. It again features anti-hero Jackie Estacado as he becomes the Don of the Franchetti Family and battles keeping 'The Darkness' bottled inside him. The game will feature the original's impressive normal mapping technology along with a noire-inspired cell shade. It was released on February 7th in North America, with a European release to follow on the 10th.
The following weapons appear so far in The Darkness II:
Pistols
Colt MK IV Series 70
The first weapons in the game are the Colt Series 70s. Despite it being the default pistols it appears even up until the final levels. It's a Series 70 judging by the medallions. It should be noted that these can be mixed and matched with other pistols and SMGs when dual weilding as they are a one handed class weapon.
Colt King Cobra
Named the Cobra in-game the Colt King Cobra is the game's only revolver and like the Colt Series 70s can be dual wielded with any one handed weapon.
Desert Eagle
The Desert Eagle appears later in the game and like the other pistols can be mixed and matched while dual wielding with any other one handed weapon. The Desert Eagle has the same amount of power as the Cobra, but with faster reloading times and higher capacity. Because of this it can be assumed that this is the .357 Magnum version.
Submachine Guns
Micro Uzi
The Micro Uzis are the first SMG you come across in the game and like the pistols can be dual wielded any way you choose. Called by its real name in game.
Heckler & Koch UMP
UMPs are called by their real world name in game and are common all the way up until the final levels. The weapon can be dual wielded with other one handed weapons and has a grander stopping power than the Micro Uzi.
Heckler & Koch MP7
MP7s with red-dot sights are also called by their real world name in game. Like the pistols and other SMGs they can be dual wielded. They have the highest capacity of all the SMGs but the stopping power is less than the HK UMP. They are rarer than most weapons but appear in abundance in later levels.
Shotguns
Remington 870
Jackie can be seen using a Remington 870 with a shell rack and a Picatinny rail in a screenshot releases following the announcement of the release date. A recent trailer has Jackie use one without the rail and that has the ejection port on the left side.
Assault Rifles
Kel-Tec RFB
A Kel-Tec RFB can be seen for a split second in the latest trailer.
AKS-74U
The AKS-74U appears as "Kalashnikov".
