Nice, but where's the trigger? This article or section is incomplete. You can help IMFDB by expanding it. |
‘Battle Royale’ was a controversial 1999 Japanese novel by Koushun Takami. It was later adapted into a live action film - Battle Royale (2000). Takami later published a 3,000 page illustrated manga version of the story. It has a sequel: Battle Royale II: Requiem.
The premise of Battle Royale revolves around “The Program,” a government sponsored event which forces randomly selected junior high school classes to murder each other until there is only one survivor - in short, a deathmatch without respawns and with random weapons. Each student is given a duffel bag containing a randomly selected weapon. Their weapons may be guns, knives, clubs, or toys. Many of the characters’ weapons differ in the three versions.
Revolver
Smith & Wesson Model 19 .357
Boy #20 (Kyouichi Motobuchi)'s weapon is a Smith & Wesson Model 19 in .357. After his death the gun is used by Boy #5 (Shougo Kawada) and later given to Boy #15 (Shuya Nanahara).
Smith & Wesson Model 66
Girl #2 (Yukie Utsumi)'s weapon is a Smith & Wesson Model 66 . After her death the gun is used by Boy #15 (Shuya Nanahara).
this is an N-frame so it's not m66: http://world.guns.ru/handguns/sw-m66.jpg
Colt Python
Boy #17 (Mitsuru Numai)'s weapon is a Colt Python .357. After his death the gun is used by Boy #6 (Kazuo Kiriyama).
Automatic Pistols
Walther PP
Boy #17 (Mitsuru Numai)'s weapon is a Walther PPK .380ACP. This later becomes Kazuo’s backup weapon which he keeps tucked in his belt, but the audience never sees it .
But this is a Walther PP and not a PPK.
Glock 19
Girl #8's weapon is a two toned Glock 19.
Beretta 92FS
In all three verions, Boy #19 (Mimura)’s weapon is a Beretta that appears to be either a nickel plated 92FS or an Inox. It's got a polished shine to it in either case.
Browning Hi-Power
In the film the Hi-Power is used by Girl #12 (Haruka Tanizawa). It was originally with Girl #12 in movie.
Colt M1911

M1911A1 WATER GUN
use by Kitano
Shotgun
Franchi SPAS 12
In the film Shogo's shotgun is a SPAS 12. it is interesting to note that the battle-hardened Kawada is unaware of the SPAS 12's semi-auto fire mode, as he is seen using only the pump action throughout the film (which would have saved him quite a bit of grief later on...).
M870 Shotgun
Girl #17 Satomi Noda weapon in the film. but never seen .
-then how do you know it's her weapon...?
-Most likely because it's probably the weapon she received in the book.
Submachine Guns
IMI Uzi
Boy #10 (Ryuhei Asagawa)'s weapon is a Uzi. After he is killed by Boy #6 (Kazuo Kiriyama), the weapon is used by him.
IMI Micro-Uzi
Girl #16 (Yuka Nakagawa)'s weapon is an IMI Micro-Uzi fitted with some sort of flash suppressor. After she dies, the gun is used by Boy #15 (Shuya Nanahara).
