The following firearms are seen in pre-release material for the upcoming video game "Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City", slated for release this winter. Weapon selection screens and info from a viral marketing site have revealed icons for most of the weapons. Many of them are signature weapons from previous Resident Evil games.
Handguns
SIG-Sauer P226
Vector is seen armed with a SIG-Sauer P226, while using a zombie as an (in)human shield. Called the "USS Sidearm" in-game.
Browning Hi-Power Mark III
The Hi-Power Mark III was carried by Claire Redfield in Resident Evil 2. Called the "Spec Ops Sidearm" in-game.
Beretta 92FS "Samurai Edge" Custom
The classic STARS custom Beretta 92FS from Resident Evil 0, 1, and 3.
Desert Eagle Mark VII
The newer safety catch but lack of ridges on the top of the barrel indicates it is the Mark VII Desert Eagle. Has the same nickname "Lightning Hawk" as the Desert Eagle in Resident Evil 5.
Heckler & Koch VP70M
One of the unlockable weapons is a modernized gold-plated VP70M known as the "Matilda". The normal version of this weapon was Leon's signature handgun from Resident Evil 2.
Unknown 1911 Pistol
An unknown 1911 pistol is held by Vector in an promotional image.
Submachine Guns
MAC-11
Known as the "Mini SMG" in-game. Bertha is seen using a similar MAC-11 to the one used in Resident Evil 2, complete with barrel extension.
Heckler & Koch MP7A1
Known as the "Suppressed SMG" in-game. A suppressed H&K MP7A1 fitted with a 20-round magazine and reflex scope can be seen on one of the officially released screens. It is anachronistic, as the MP7 was not produced until 2001, the game takes place in 1998.
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
Known as the "SubMachine Gun" in-game. An unnamed USS member is seen armed with an MP5A3, consistent with Resident Evil 2's choice of arming the USS. His example has a flashlight attached to the forend.
H&K UMP
The H&K UMP is called the "Tactical SMG" in-game. Whilst the icon shows a UMP45, in-game shots show a UMP9. It remains to be seen what the final weapon will be, or if it's a UMP9 erroneously using .45 ammunition.
M1A1 Thompson
Called "The Mob Special" in-game. This is the same Thompson that could be unlocked in Resident Evil 4. It is incorrectly shown fitted with a 50-round drum magazine.
Unknown Machine Pistol
An unidentified machine pistol with a laser sight and flame decal is one of the pre-order bonus weapons.
TDI Vector
The TDI Vector is called the "Combat SMG" and available as a pre-order bonus.
Rifles
M4A1 Carbine
Known as the "Assault Rifle" in-game. U.S. Spec Ops teams and the USS are seen armed with M4A1s, fitted with Aimpoint Red Dot Sights.
M16A1 Rifle
Known as the "Burst Rifle" in-game. Players can choose an M16A1 fitted with an ACOG scope. As the name implies, it incorrectly fires in bursts whereas a real M16A1 can only fire in semi or full-auto.
AK-103
The AK-103 is known as the "Militia Rifle" in-game. This weapon is possibly anachronistic.
H&K G36K
Vektor, Spectre, and Beltway are all seen wielding G36Ks, sometimes suppressed. it features a possibly-anachronistic railed forend, as the game takes place in September 1998.
H&K HK416
Called "The Hammer" in-game. Anachronistic for the time period (September 1998), as the HK416 first entered production in 2005.
FN SCAR-H CQC
Called "The Ravager" in-game. Anachronistic for the time period (1998), as the SCAR series was developed circa 2007. Something to point out, in the recent "Triple Impact" trailer for the game showcasing the US Spec Ops team. The possible team leader is seen wielding a black Scar-L. The CGI model is shown to strangely have a M16 style front sight post/gas block.
Machine Guns
M249-E2 SAW
The M249-E2 SAW appears in the game as the "Machine Gun".
Heckler & Koch MG4
Called "Light Machine Gun" in-game. Anachronistic for 1998, as the MG4 first entered production in 2005.
M60E3
The M60E3 appears as the "Heavy Machine Gun" in-game
Sniper Rifles
Remington 700PSS
The Remington 700PSS appears in the game as the "Bolt Action Rifle".
Heckler & Koch G3A3
The Heckler & Koch G3A3 can be seen in the E3 trailer. In the weapons selection screen it is under the Sniper Rifles class and called the "Semi-Auto Rifle". It is fitted with an ACOG scope.
Heckler & Koch PSG-1
The Heckler & Koch PSG-1 is known as the "Precision Rifle" in-game.
M16A4 Rifle
A M16A4 fitted with a scope, bipod, cheek-rest, and a 20-round magazine appears in the game as the "Arbiter". The M16A4 in the time of the game (1998) is anachronistic, as the M16A4 was not produced until 2004. In addition like in many modern shooters the front sight and gas block are removed, which would render the gun unable to cycle automatically after the first shot, and the shooter would have to manually rack the bolt to load the next round into the chamber.
Unknown Anti-Material Rifle
An AM rifle is one of the eight pre-order bonus weapons.
Shotguns
Remington 870
Beltway is seen with a fullstock Remington 870 with a heatshield and 20" barrel in a promotional render. It is called the "Pump-action Shotgun" in-game.
Franchi SPAS-12
The SPAS-12 with folding stock appears as the "Assault Shotgun" in-game.
Benelli M4 Super 90
The Benelli M4 Super 90 appears in the game as the "Riot Gun".
Daewoo USAS-12
The USAS-12 appears as the "Juggernaut" in-game.
Unknown Shotgun 1
A possibly fictional shotgun with a drum magazine and reflex sight.
Fictional shotgun
A double-barreled shotgun seemingly based loosely on the NeoStead 2000 Shotgun but with the magazine tubes rendered as a pair of barrels.
Remington SPR220 Cowboy
Called the Cowboy shotgun.
Special
Flamethrower
Returning from Resident Evil 1. A note of interest is that the weapon now has the lower-receiver of a Bushmaster ACR and a backwards SPAS-12 foregrip.
Fictional Grenade Launcher ("Hk-P")
The same fictional grenade launcher from Resident Evil 3.
