Escanaba in da Moonlight is a 2001 low budget Indie starring Jeff Daniels. The film is a comedy regarding redneck hunters from Michigan and is a part of Daniel's ongoing commitment to entice film production to the state of Michigan. The comedy itself is hit or miss, with humor that is mostly enjoyed (and understood) by locals to the Michigan area. The film had very limited theatrical release and limited DVD release and is not very well known amongst the film going public.
