The M320 grenade launcher is the replacement for the Vietnam-era [[M203 grenade launcher|M203]] as the US army's 40mm underbarrel grenade launcher. Created by [[Heckler & Koch]], it is a variant of the AG-C version of the [[Heckler & Koch AG36 Grenade Launcher]] originally developed for the [[Heckler & Koch XM8]] but continued following that weapon's cancellation. The M320 grenade launcher is the replacement for the Vietnam-era M203 as the US army's 40mm underbarrel grenade launcher. Created by Heckler & Koch, it is a variant of the AG-C version of the Heckler & Koch AG36 Grenade Launcher originally developed for the Heckler & Koch XM8 but continued following that weapon's cancellation. The early XM320 version was all but identical to the AG-C, with the final M320 being distinguished primarily by the addition of a folding front grip.
