Saints Row : The Third is a 2011 videogame, and the third entry in the Saints Row series. In this "ridiculous, over-the-top, guilty pleasure" sandbox crime game, the player must leads a gang, the Third Street Saints, against a dangerous international crime conglomerate named "the Syndicate" for the control of the city of Steelport. The game extends the "fun and unrealistic" trend of the series, and this aspect is reflected in the weapon list, from a giant sex aid / basball bat weapon to octopus launchers and cars with guns that fire pedestrians. Weapon customisation is also a large part of the game.
The player's character is simply known as "The Protagonist," and their gender and appearance can be customised.
The following firearms can be seen in the video game Saints Row : The Third:
Handguns
".45 Shepherd"
The handgun referred to as the ".45 Shepherd" is a fictional hybrid of several pistol designs, with a grip, trigger guard and safety seemingly based on the Desert Eagle, a Glock-like ejection port altered to be symmetrical, and a Glock-style front end. Successive upgrades grant extended magazines and a progressively more ludicrous compensator.
Walther P99
The KA-1 Kobra is a Walther P99 with a symmetrical ejection port, and the successor of the automatic Kobra pistol from Saints Row 2. David Payne: "The base level is just the standard 9mm pistol with a tactical flashlight mounted on the front, similar to the AS3 Ultimax, which will toggle on at night. The upgrade path includes things like a larger magazine, a suppressor to reduce recoil and a laser sight for higher accuracy when not using fine-aim. When fully upgraded, the KA-1 Kobra comes equipped with Armor-Piercing rounds, which can tear through any enemy with ease including enemies with riot shields and all types of Brute classes", confirmed by David Payne, Weapons Art Lead at Volition. The KA-1 Kobra can also be dual-wielded.
Submachine guns
Heckler & Koch MP7
The "TEK Z-10" is a submachine gun similar to the MP7, but with a few differences. It Holds 40 bullets in the mag. The name was confirmed by the E3 demo. The TEK Z-10 is the successor of the T3K Urban SMG from Saints Row 2, confirmed from David Payne, Weapons Art Lead at Volition. The fully upgraded version has a large suppressor, a extended magazine, hand-grip, and possibly a C-More red dot sight.
Shotguns
Winchester Model 1887
The "Gravedigger" is a lever-action shotgun the first iteration of which is loosely based on the sawed-off Winchester Model 1887 seen in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (or more likely the one seen in Modern Warfare 2) and it holds 6 shells. It is seen on the E3 demo, used to nutshot innocent pedestrians. It can be upgraded to have an improbable number of 3 barrels, despite the lever-action.
Assault Rifles
Custom AK
An AK-47 variant with various custom modifications, including a M4-style stock and Midwest Industries railed handguard, the K8 Krukov is the successor of the K6 Krukov from Saints Row 2. The named was confirmed during the E3 demo. The magazine holds 30 bullets by default, though later upgrades increase capacity to 60 with an ill-advised "jungle taped" double magazine (the second one of which is pointed at the ground) and then change the weapon to use belted ammunition. Fully upgraded the weapon also sports a grenade launcher, which appears to be a hybrid of the Russian GP-series grenade launcher and the M203.
Custom M4
A custom M4A1 variant with various modifications, including telescopic sights and a M16 styled 4-prong flash-hider, the "AR-55" is the successor of the AR-40 Xtnd from Saints Row 2. The name was confirmed from Weapon Week - Day 4, on the Saints Row: the Third official site. The standard AR-55 fires a 3-round burst, as opposed to the AR-40 Xtnd automatic setting. It can be upgraded to fire in a 5-round burst with a extended magazine. The weapons appear to be modeled with various Magpul accessories including CTR stocks, P-Mags, and pistol grips, all with desert tan finishes.
