The Shield was a television police drama created by Shawn Ryan (The Unit) that starred Michael Chiklis as Vic Mackey, a Los Angeles police detective who played both sides of the law as the leader of a police strike team that also had its hands in several illegal operations throughout the city. Benito Martinez co-starred as the police lieutenant intent on bringing Mackey to justice while being the commanding officer of the police station they both work out of. The series ran for seven seasons on the FX cable network.
The following firearms were used in the television series The Shield:
In the pilot episode, Officer Danni Sofer is seen putting what appears to be a Smith & Wesson Model 642 Centennial in her purse before going on a date.
In the pilot episode, Mackey is seen taking what appears to be a stainless SIG-Sauer P226 off a suspect and using it. The SIG seen appears to be a Non Gun.
Seen when the Strike Team raids a gang-owned Army/Navy Surplus Store in the first episode of the final season. On a table several AKM's and numerous magazines can be seen. A gang member also uses one.
