The Loner (Le Solitaire) is a 1987 French crime movie by Jacques Deray with Jean-Paul Belmondo as commissaire Stan Jalard.

Stub-nose Manurhin MR-73 is used as a service sidearm by Simon Lecache (Michel Creton) and by other French policemen. In final scene Schneider's girlfriend Sandra (Yolande Gilot) try to shoot Stan (Jean-Paul Belmondo) with Manurhin. Commissaire Stan Jalard (Jean-Paul Belmondo) also use Manurhin MR-73 but with longer barrel.
