As for the anachronisms, I want to point out that while the movie opens in 1868, the search for Debbie goes on for many years. | |||

I have this movie on VHS and was just watching it on AMC channel. Never could figure out what type of rifle "Ol' Mose Harper" (Hank Worden) carried, just couldn't get a good enough look at it. That's him in the pic that is captioned regarding Commanche warriors.
As for the anachronisms, I want to point out that while the movie opens in 1868, the search for Debbie goes on for many years.
